Types of lighting
Lightings
Lighting is the main key towards shooting a video to make it look more professional and cinematic
Low Key Lighting:
Lighting in which the camera's focus is on the subject and highlights shadows, dark tones and high contrast.
Rembrandt Lighting:
Lighting at a 45 degree angle which creates a small triangle on the shadowed side of the subject
- In order to het cinematic footage shoot from the shadow side.
- 45 degree or rembrandt can be done with single light or double lights.
- Key light or main light
- That mainly lit the subject
- Fill light
- Lighting that fill up the shadow
Rim Light:
That creates a border near the subject or creates a silhouette of a subject
- Kieler light is on the 180 degree of the subject
- Colour temperature (kelvin) the colour of light varies from cold to warm
- Motivated light ,light that looks natural in the room e.g using lamps near the subject
- Background light add appropriate colors to the background
- Shoot only at the golden hour 6am or 6 pm
- Catch light
